This year, we passed by a very peculiar stand that said it had the "strangest thing you've ever seen!" For $1 I can see the strangest thing ever? Are you kidding? I was in line faster than you could say eeewwwww. Matt, not so much.
Ok, so want to know what I saw?
Really?
Are you sure?
Don't go any further if you plan on going to the fair and don't want me to ruin it for you.
(Drum roll)
I saw a......
Scary mermaid baby monster thing. Yep. I didn't look quite the same as this one, but very similar. It had a full set of scary monster teeth, scary long fingernail claws, long weird scraggly hair, and a little curled up mermaid tail. The horror!! This is the stuff that nightmares are made of:

Weird. Even weirder, is that I believed it! They told me it got washed up in the tsunami and I was like, "yeah, that makes sense." Huh.
For the record Matt debunked this one for me tonight.

Never fret- you won't have to worry about seeing this crazy baby mermaid thing at Clearwater Beach. But you already knew that didn't you? (I know, I know, I'm SO gullible!!)

LOL! That thing is disgusting and it's a relief to know it's a hoax.
Suzanne, I didn't know you lived near Clearwater Beach! My parents live in Tarpon Springs and we used to live there and then in Spring Hill before we moved up here to Dunnellon/Ocala.
Yes- don't tell anyone but I teach at Tarpon High! Shhhhhhh....
No Way! My parents live in the subdivision across the street....Ponsettia Ave. Small world!
